About Stephen Adkins
Meet Stephen G. Adkins III, an Army Veteran, business owner, fashion designer and entrepreneur hailing from Richmond, VA. Stephen's impressive career in fashion and business has seen him walk the runway an astonishing 40 times, including at New York Fashion Week. He's also been featured as an editorial model in several magazines, graced the cover three times, and has been interviewed and featured in Style Weekly, Richmond Magazine, gap MEN PRESS, and Fashion Haunts Magazine, seen on TMZ, The Shade Room, People, Daily Mail, The Steve Harvey Talk Show and other media outlets.
Stephen's influence extends beyond the catwalk; he's been a brand ambassador for a wide variety of companies and brands and has developed his own personal brand as an Instagram Fashion Designer and Influencer. He's also been featured in various television commercials and live features for Fox5DC, NBC12, had a role in the Travel Channel series with Robert Englund, was featured in a live interview spot on Bronxnet TV New York, and was a guest on the Work Hard Play Hard Podcast for "The Making of a Style Icon."
In 2019, Stephen was invited to be the first-ever Guest Designer for his very own custom "Capsule Collection" Men's Clothing Line with Alton Lane, a semi-national bespoke men's clothing company that ran until the end of 2020. In March 2021, he was honored to be invited to become a member of The Silver Fox Squad.
In 2022, Stephen launched his very own podcast, "Suit Up with Stephen Adkins," highlighting the importance of suiting up in all areas of our lives. He's also has his own grooming products line for men's hair styling and beard care, Fox Edge by Stephen Adkins.
Stephen previously served for many years on the Board of Directors, Model Coordinator and Spokesman for RVAFW Richmond Virginia Fashion Week. In early 2025, he and his business partner have launched a Men’s fashion week in Richmond called “Threaded Men’s Fashion Week”, highlighting the presence of Male models and Mens fashion designers. In addition Stephen has launched his own mens line of suits called “The Stephen Collection”, making its debut in October 2025 on the runways at his Threaded Fashion Show.
When he's not immersed in the fashion world, Stephen is a 24-year owner/operator of Adkins Painting & Restoration, providing full-service interior, exterior painting and interior design and restorative services to Richmond and surrounding areas.
With his varied and impressive portfolio, it's clear that Stephen G. Adkins III is a true Renaissance man.
